Important Notes

  • Auto-Print After Download triggers printing only for newly downloaded sessions, including AI-FX and Uploader app.

  • You can limit how many sessions should auto-print.

  • Use Max Session Age for Auto-Print to prevent old sessions from printing when swapping devices.

  • Works on both the Photo Booth and Sharing Station.

Print Downloaded Sessions

This feature ensures every new session that arrives on your device can automatically print without you needing to keep track manually.

You can control:

  • How many sessions should print automatically after being downloaded.

  • Whether older sessions should be ignored to avoid unnecessary printing.

Auto-Print After Download behaviour explained

Auto-Print After Download is also ideal when using the Uploader/Watch‑Folder App, ensuring that any content delivered to the event prints automatically as it arrives.

This is especially useful for AI-FX events, where all AI images are processed in the cloud. As soon as the finished AI output is downloaded to the device, it can be printed instantly—making this the most reliable workflow for printing AI-FX sessions. The first setting functions similarly to regular auto-print, but is designed explicitly for downloaded sessions, including AI-FX outputs and Uploader app uploads.

The second setting prevents the system from printing older sessions. This means sessions older than the selected number of minutes will not auto-print.

This helps avoid unexpected printing during situations like device swaps or refreshes.

Switching Devices Example

If your event has been running for a while and you need to swap to a new iPad:

  • The new device will begin downloading any existing sessions.

  • Without limits, the app would auto-print all previously captured sessions.

  • By setting Max Session Age for Auto-Print, you block older sessions (e.g., older than 5 minutes), ensuring only new sessions taken after the swap are auto-printed.

This keeps your printer from being flooded with unwanted prints.
