BananaFX is Snappic's cloud-rendered custom prompt filter. You write a prompt that defines the transformation, and BananaFX generates a completely new AI image of the guest based on that prompt. BananaFX is optimized for outfit transformations, fashion-inspired edits, and stylized portrait effects, and renders faster than PersonaFX.
BananaFX is powered by Google's Nano Banana AI model family. Results are rendered in the cloud, automatically returned to the booth gallery, and shared with the guest.
Snappic does not control BananaFX rendering speed, as processing is handled by an external cloud service. Occasional speed variations may occur due to external factors affecting the server's performance.
There are five BananaFX variants: Styled, Real, Pro Real, 2.0 (Beta), and 2.0 Pro (Beta).

Credits are priced at $0.10 per credit (e.g. 200 credits for $20, 1,000 credits for $100).
The credit cost for each filter is shown under the filter name on the Edit AI Filter screen. The test cost is shown on the Test screen before you run a test. Always check both before your event.

To top up credits, go to the Account tab in your Snappic dashboard and select Top Up.
Important Notes
BananaFX renders faster than PersonaFX, making it well-suited for high-volume events.
Processing takes 2–5 minutes on average. There is no guaranteed processing time.
AI-FX images are shared with guests via email or SMS once rendering is complete. AirDrop sends only the original image.
Virtual Booth does not support AI-FX.
Multiple frame templates are not supported.
AI may produce unexpected results including changes to facial features, gender, or skin tone. This is normal and cannot be controlled.
BananaFX Styled is recommended for single-person shots only. Group shots with Styled mode often produce inconsistent results.
BananaFX Real and Pro variants work well with 1–3 people. Including more than 3 may result in inconsistent outputs.
Prompt quality directly affects output quality. Detailed, structured prompts produce more consistent results.

Stylised filters may not apply consistently to every person in a group photo.
Faces in Styled mode may not perfectly match the guest's original likeness.
Group shots with BananaFX Styled can produce inconsistent results — we recommend PersonaFX Styled for group stylised imagery.
AI rendering depends on external cloud processing. Occasional delays may occur due to third-party server performance.
Prompt sensitivity: small wording changes can lead to noticeably different outputs. Always test before going live.

BananaFX Styled generates a stylised transformation based on your prompt. Works best with a single person and produces the best results with highly stylised prompts such as Pixar-style, watercolour, or illustrated effects.

All BananaFX variants include pose selection. Choose from:
Original — Keeps the guest's natural pose from the photo.
Random — The AI generates a new pose. Recommended for more dynamic, stylised results.
Aspect Ratio
Select an aspect ratio that matches the orientation of your template frame. Choosing the wrong ratio will result in cropped or stretched images.

Prompting Tips
A well-written prompt is the most important factor in getting consistent, high-quality BananaFX outputs. Here are the key principles:
Be specific and descriptive — vague prompts produce unpredictable results. The more detail you provide about the scene, outfit, lighting, and setting, the more consistent your outputs will be.
Describe the subject's appearance — include details like clothing style, colours, and any accessories relevant to the theme.
Set the scene — describe the background environment, lighting conditions, and overall mood.
Avoid referencing facial features or expressions — BananaFX generates the face from the guest's original photo. Focus your prompt on everything else.
Test small changes — small wording changes can noticeably affect the output. Always test a new prompt before your event.
Use surveys for personalisation — insert guest names, jersey numbers, or other survey responses directly into your prompt for tailored outputs.
Use ChatGPT to help — if you're unsure how to structure a prompt, describe what you want to ChatGPT and ask it to write a detailed AI image prompt for you.
Best Practices
Use well-lit, high-quality guest photos with clean backgrounds. Overexposed images produce poor outputs.
Ask guests to face the camera directly with a natural, upright pose. Avoid partially obscured subjects.
Write detailed, structured prompts — specific descriptions produce more consistent results. Small wording changes can noticeably affect the output.
Use surveys to personalise outputs by inserting guest names, numbers, or preferences directly into the prompt. To set up surveys, go to your event's Event Options and enable Surveys.
BananaFX Styled works best with Random pose selected.
Adding multiple BananaFX filters to one template allows guests to choose from several styles, but the booth will ask the guest to pick one. Each style must be set up as a separate AI template if you want all versions generated from a single photo.
Always run a test render before your event to confirm your prompt, pose, and aspect ratio combination.
