This article will walk you through setting up printing on macOS using the Snappic Mac Print Server. You'll learn how to install the correct printer drivers, download the print server app, and configure it for both standard and strip print formats.

Important Notes
Make sure your printer is powered on and connected to your Mac via USB.
You must install the latest Mac-compatible printer model driver before using the Snappic Print Server.
Ensure your printer is set as the default printer on your Mac after driver installation.
Installing the Printer Driver
Go to the DNP in our case (the printer manufacturer's official website) and search for the printer model driver for macOS.
Download the latest version compatible with your macOS.
Open the installer and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
Once installed, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners. Click the Add Printer button to start adding your printer.
Your connected printer should appear in the list. Select it. From the Use dropdown, choose Select Software and find the correct driver for your printer. Click Add to install it.
Once added, select the printer and ensure the correct driver is assigned.
Select the printer and choose Set as Default Printer to make it your system default.
Installing the Snappic Mac Print Server
Log in to your Snappic dashboard. Go to the Resources tab. Download and install the Snappic Mac Print Server.
Once installed, open the application from your Applications folder.
Configuring the Print Server for your printer
The Snappic Mac Print Server supports 6x4 and 2x6 strip event formats. Depending on your setup, you can configure one or both.
Standard (4x6) Print Setup:
Open the Snappic Mac Print Server app under Standard Config, and click Configure.
In the configuration window navigate to Page Attributes and select the desired size (6x4 in our case) and Save
Strips (2x6 Cut) Print Setup:
Open the Snappic Mac Print Server app under Strips Config, and click Configure.
In the configuration window, navigate to Page Attributes and select the desired size (6x4 in our case)
now navigate to Printer Options and select the small "i" button
Here, we will select the 2-inch cut and save it again.
Optional:
You can adjust margins in the Print Server app if your output is too close to the paper’s edge.
