Important Notes

  • Single Strip Compatibility is available only for printers that support single-strip printing.

  • Make sure your Print Server App is updated to the latest version to access this option.

  • If you’re using a DNP printer, note that DNP models do not support single-strip printing.

Supported Printers

Currently, only the following printer brands are known to support single-strip printing:

  • Mitsubishi

  • Primera (e.g., IP60)

  • HiTi

💡 If you require single-strip compatibility, always check your printer manufacturer’s support page for confirmation.

Ensure your system is running these versions (or later) to see the Single Strip Compatibility option in the settings.

Enabling Single Strip Compatibility (Windows)

  • Open the Print Server App on your Windows computer.

  • Navigate to Strip Configuration.

  • Enable the checkbox for Single Strip Compatibility.

  • Save your settings.

💡 If your printout doesn’t work correctly after enabling the option (e.g., one strip prints in the middle of a 4x6 sheet), click the small text link under the drop-down that says “Clear selected configuration”, then reconfigure your printer.

Enabling Single Strip Mode (Mac)

  • Open the Photobooth Print Server app.

  • Click on Strip Configuration.

  • Enable the checkbox for Single Strip Mode.

  • Save your changes.

Your Mac print server is now configured for single-strip printing.

Troubleshooting Print Issues

If your single-strip prints are misaligned or not cutting properly:

  • Make sure you’re using the latest print server version.

  • Use the Clear selected configuration option, then reconfigure.

  • Verify your printer supports single-strip cutting.

  • Restart both your printer and print server software.

⚠️ As noted, DNP printers do not support single-strip output and will continue to print two strips per 4x6 sheet.
