Snappic does not manage ICC profiles directly, but if your printer supports them, they can be used during printing.

ICC (International Color Consortium) profiles are used for color accuracy between digital files and printed output. While Snappic does not apply or manage ICC profiles directly, it is fully compatible with them—as long as they are properly installed and configured through your printer driver. This article explains how that works and what steps you should take.

Important Notes

  • ICC profiles are not applied by Snappic.

  • They are managed through the printer's driver or software.

  • Snappic prints by sending the image to the printer via its printer server, which acts as a pass-through.

  • If your printer driver has ICC profiles installed and configured, they will be applied during printing.

  • This makes Snappic compatible with ICC profiles—but Snappic does not control or configure them.

How ICC Profiles Work with Snappic

  • Snappic exports standard JPG image files for printing.

  • These images are sent directly to the printer driver through the Snappic printer server.

  • Snappic does not embed or modify ICC profiles in the image.

  • If your printer driver supports ICC profiles and has one installed, it will be used when printing.

  • This makes ICC profile use possible as long as the printer and driver are set up to support it.

How to Use ICC Profiles with Your Printer

  • Check if your printer supports ICC profiles
Review your printer’s documentation or contact the manufacturer to confirm ICC support.

  • Install the correct ICC profile
Download the ICC profile from your printer manufacturer’s website and install it via their driver or software.

  • Configure the printer driver
In the printer’s settings, select the ICC profile so it is applied to all print jobs.

  • Print through Snappic as usual
Snappic will send the image to the printer, and the driver will apply the ICC profile automatically if properly configured.

Brands like DNP, Mitsubishi, and Canon typically offer downloadable ICC profiles and setup instructions.
