The Show Overlay Preview feature allows guests to see a live overlay on-screen while positioning themselves for a photo. This helps ensure proper alignment with the frame or template design before the image is captured.

Important Notes
This setting is configured per template.
Available for Photo, GIF, and Burst templates.
The overlay shown is for positioning only; the final captured image will display all text and design elements correctly.
Adjust this setting from within your Snappic Dashboard under the template editor.
VideoFX cannot display an overlay while recording β overlays are only applied after the video has been rendered.
How to Enable Show Overlay Preview
For Still Photos
Go to your Snappic Dashboard.
Navigate to the Photo Templates section.
Find the template you want to edit and click Edit.
At the top of the editor, tick the checkbox labeled Show Overlay Preview.
(Optional) You can also enable Do Not Mirror Live View if you want the live preview to display as seen in the final print (not mirrored).
Save your changes.
For GIFs and Bursts
Open the template section for GIF or Burst.
Click the Settings button under the specific template you want to adjust.
Enable Show Overlay Preview and Do Not Mirror Live View as needed.
Save your changes.
Additional Option: Do Not Mirror Live View
When enabled, Do Not Mirror Live View ensures the preview on-screen matches the final output exactly as it will print or save.
If disabled, guests will see a mirrored (selfie-style) view, which may appear flipped horizontally compared to the final image.
Live View vs Final Output
Please note that the live overlay is a preview only β it helps guests position themselves within the frame.
The final product will render all overlay elements, including text, correctly oriented and aligned according to the saved template design.
