How To Enable AI Experience (AI-FX)

Under the "Features" section, you can enable "AI Experience" on your event.

Once you enable the AI feature, it will guide you to the "AI Template" section.

AI Filters

Adding AI Filters

Under the "AI Template " section, click "Add AI Filter" to add filters to your event.

Filters options

You will notice that some filters can change the pose type and background.

Pose type:

  • Original: The AI output will copy the pose of the guest and keep their body shape. (We recommend this option as it will generally produce the best results)

  • Half-Body: The AI output will be a predetermined fixed pose, depending on the filter used.

  • Headshot: The AI output will only show the head of the person in a predetermined fixed pose.

Background options:

  • Plain: This will be a one-color gradient background.

  • Themed: The background is linked to the theme of the filter

Select a Template and Enable the AI Filter:

Once the filters have been added, click "Template Library" and select a template size. Please ensure you have chosen the AI Filter enabled for that template under the "AI Filter" Button.

Save Changes and test!

Please note: Once AI filters are added, they automatically become available for the templates you've included. However, if you add more filters later, you need to manually enable these new filters using the "AI Filter" button. Ensuring that each template you use has the correct AI Filter enabled to function correctly is crucial. You will also need to be on version 1.29

Faceswap

This article section explains how to use the Faceswap

Click on "Add AI Filter".

Select the "Face Swap" filter.

Click 'Edit' on the new 'Face Swap' filter.

Face Swap Filter has two options:

  • Filter Preview: This is the 'preview' image clients will see on the photobooth when choosing an effect

  • Source image: This is the "filter" that will be used to swap guest faces.

Select a Template and Enable the Faceswap:

Once the filters have been added, click "Template Library," select a template, and enable the filter under "Ai filter" for that template or add it under a template you already added.

Please note: Once AI filters are added while creating the event, they automatically become available for the templates you've included. However, if you add more filters later, you need to manually enable these new filters using the "AI Filter" button. It's crucial to ensure that each template you use has the correct AI filter enabled so it functions correctly. You will also need to be on version 1.29.2

Custom Prompts

This section of the article explains how to use the Custom AI-FX Filter and provides information on Positive and Negative prompts.

To start, we will enable AI-FX from the Features tab. The top section explains how to enable the AI Experience.

Navigate to add AI Filter.

Then we can go to General and select the Custom Prompts.

Next, we will see a small Filter called Custom Prompts.

From here, to access custom prompts, we will select the edit button and be greeted with options for Custom and Negative prompts.

Custom Prompts

These are detailed text instructions that guide the AI in creating the desired image. Custom prompts typically include:

  • Specific details: Objects, settings, styles, moods, lighting, and more.

  • Visual elements: Colors, textures, backgrounds, or even specific items (e.g., "a red house in a snowy forest at sunset").

  • Artistic direction: You can specify a particular artistic style, such as realism, abstract, or impressionism.

Negative Prompts

These are the opposite of custom prompts and are used to guide the AI away from unwanted elements. For example, if you want to generate a portrait but don’t want certain features or distractions, you use negative prompts to exclude them.

Examples of negative prompts:

  • “blurry background”

  • “dark colours”

  • “people”

This allows you to fine-tune the image by preventing unwanted features or styles from appearing.

By combining both types of prompts, you get more control over the generated image, ensuring it aligns with your vision.

Important notes:

  • Please be aware that the results may vary based on the input provided. By using this feature, you accept full responsibility for the content generated and understand that the quality, accuracy, and appropriateness of the output are dependent on the prompt entered. We are not liable for any results that may be unexpected, unintended, or that potentially generate copyrighted content. Use of this feature implies your acknowledgement and acceptance of these terms.

  • The AI Experience uses generative AI technology to create images based on likeness. While we strive to provide the best possible results, it’s important to understand that AI technology is still evolving. As such, the generated images may not always perfectly represent the appearance, likeness, or quality you expect. Please note that we have limited control over the AI’s output. By using this service, you acknowledge and accept the potential limitations and understand that some results may vary in accuracy or quality. We are committed to improving as technology advances and appreciate your understanding.

Where to find the AI Experience on the app

When your event is set up, you can start your photo booth. You will notice that AI-FX has no "experience button." You will find the AI effects under the 'Still' section.

You will have the option to select between the general still photo frame or an AI photo frame.

You will notice a small AI text box in the top corner of the template. This indicates the difference between the AI Photo Frame and the Still Photo frame.

Preview images

The 'Preview' button lets you add a preview image for each photo frame. This feature is handy for categorizing your AI filters into different templates. For instance, let's say you have six Faceswap images – three with blue outfits and three with red outfits. You can create two templates, one for each colour. Under each template's preview, you can add an image indicating the colour of the outfits in that particular template.

Click on the 'Preview' button under the AI Template.

The 'Template Preview' option allows you to upload your preview image. Please ensure it is the same size as your template to avoid confusion.

Once you have added your Preview image, the preview button will appear on top of your template.

Save and test on your photo booth!

Limitations

AI-FX is currently in beta as an emerging technology, and we're thrilled to share its potential with you! Here's how to get the most out of AI-FX:

  • Optimal for Individuals: AI-FX shines with individual portraits. While you can use it for group photos, the technology is primarily fine-tuned for solo shots, ensuring the highest quality enhancements. While group photos are possible, the current version of AI-FX may deliver a different level of precision than individual portraits.

  • Embracing the Unexpected: The nature of AI means outcomes can be surprising. Occasionally, AI-FX may alter aspects like gender or race in the images. This isn't within our control, but it's part of the journey of developing cutting-edge AI.

  • Personalization with Face Swap: You can upload a photo with a clear face view for a face swap. Our AI-FX preloaded filters will meticulously analyze facial features, applying background enhancements like adjusting lighting or transforming the backdrop, creating a unique and personalized effect.

  • Sharing: AI images can only be shared via email, text, and QR from the Photobooth, but sharing via a share station is also possible.

  • Virtual booth: AI-FX doesn't work on the Virtual Booth
