Smart Sharing

Smart Sharing helps guests receive their photos and videos faster, easier, and automatically, without needing to re-enter their contact details each time. Once enabled, Smart Sharing automatically connects sessions to each guest using Face Linking or QR Code Linking, ensuring every guest receives their content instantly and securely.

What is Smart Sharing

Smart Sharing is a Snappic feature that links each guest’s contact information to their face or unique QR code, allowing the system to automatically identify and send their photos or videos directly to them. No repeated input needed!

This creates an easy guest experience and significantly reduces queue times at busy events.

🚀 Smart Sharing includes two main linking options:

Face Linking – Ideal for seamless, AI-driven sharing.
QR Code Linking – Best for privacy-conscious events.

Face Linking

Face Linking uses facial recognition to automatically connect photos and videos to a guest’s contact details.

Guests can link their face directly in the app (after capture) or from the event gallery. Once linked, every future upload that detects their face will automatically trigger a share notification.

Example Flow

After a guest takes a photo, they enter their email or phone number.
They’re shown the Smart Share Linking Page with two tabs: Face Linking and QR Linking.
Under Face Linking, the guest can:
- Swipe through captures to find themselves.
- Tap their highlighted face to select it.
- Check the opt-in box (if required).
- Tap Link Face to confirm.
Once linked, Snappic will automatically send all future photos/videos featuring their face.

QR Code Linking

QR Code Linking offers a privacy-friendly alternative to facial recognition. Each guest receives a unique QR code, which links to their email or phone number.

When they scan their QR code after a session, Snappic automatically associates the new photos or videos with their contact details.

This is perfect for events like corporate activations or brand-sensitive experiences where guests may prefer not to use facial recognition.

How It Works

Each guest receives a pre-generated QR code made from the snappic dashboard (printed on a card or slip).
The first time they scan their QR code, they’ll be prompted to enter contact details.
Every time they scan it again (whether solo or in a group), Snappic automatically links that session to their account.
All future photos/videos they appear in (when scanning) will be sent to them automatically.

QR Linking Options (Event Settings)

These settings allow you to customize the guest flow for QR sharing:

Pro tip: You can also use the QR Designer Tool to generate unique event QR codes or you can create your own on a third-party application.

These apply to both Face and QR Linking methods:

AI Sharing Batch Interval

Sets the minimum time between sending automated notifications to guests when new photos/videos are detected. It helps prevent excessive notifications during large events.

App Flow

Here’s what the guest experience looks like once Smart Sharing is enabled:

1. Post-Capture QR Scan Prompt

If enabled, guests will see a form after their capture prompting them to link a QR code.

If it’s their first time, they’ll enter their contact details.
If already linked, they’ll get a confirmation and can either add another code or continue.

2. Sharing via Email/Phone

After entering their details, the Smart Share Linking Page appears:

Tabs for Face Linking or QR Linking (if both enabled).
Option to skip linking if they prefer.

2a. Face Linking

Guest selects their face from detected highlights.
Checks opt-in if required.
Taps Link Face to confirm.

2b. QR Linking

Guest scans their unique QR code.
Taps Link QR Code to confirm.

3. Sharing via QR Code (Gallery View)

If a guest missed linking after capture, they can go to the gallery and tap QR Share to link later.

Setting Up in Snappic (Step-by-Step)

Log into your Snappic Dashboard.
Open your event and navigate to Event Details.
Enable Smart Sharing.
Choose your preferred linking methods:
