You’re Seeing a Beta Preview!
These features are almost ready, and this article will be expanded and polished once the final release goes live. We’ve shared it early to support you during the beta. If anything is unclear or you need help, just message our team!
Introduction
Retake a Single Photo provides operators and photographers with the flexibility to redo one or more photos within a multi-photo session, rather than restarting the entire capture sequence.
This feature saves time, reduces frustration, and helps deliver consistent professional-quality results for both Photo Booth Mode and Roaming Mode.
To use this feature, you must have Show Captured Media Previews enabled, as the retake option appears within the preview interface.

Important Notes
✅ Feature Dependency – Requires Show Captured Media Previews to be enabled.
✅ Cross-Mode Compatibility – Works in both Photo Booth Mode and Roaming Mode.
✅ Multi-Photo Templates Only – Only available in templates with more than one capture frame.
✅ Online Greenscreen: Approval will always be enabled for "Online Greenscreen," even if you disable it on the dashboard.
Known Limitations
⚠️ Single-Frame Templates – Retakes are not available for templates with only one photo
⚠️ Approval and AI Timing – Retakes must occur before session approval or AI processing begins.
⚠️ Preview Bar Required – If Show Captured Media Previews is disabled, the retake button will not appear.
⚠️ Post-Save Lockout – Once a session is approved or saved, individual retakes are no longer available.
⚠️ Survey Pop-up - The survey will pop up before the preview image is displayed.
What is Retake a Single Photo
The Retake a Single Photo feature allows users to re-capture one image within a session while keeping the rest of the session intact.
Instead of discarding every photo and starting over, you can quickly replace the one image that didn’t turn out perfectly.
This is especially useful for:
Group shots where one person blinked/eyes closed, etc.
Roaming photographers capturing spontaneous moments.
Professional shoots that require consistency across a template.
How It Works
During capture, each new photo appears in the Captured Media Preview Bar.
Tap 'Next" to view the final output.
Click on previous if you are not happy with the final output
Select the photo thumbnail you want to retake and click on the red delete button to delete the current image
Capture a new photo, which will automatically replace the previous one in that slot.
Once you are happy, you can share your session.

Open your event in the Snappic Dashboard.
Go to Event Options → Roaming → Roaming mode Settings → enable Show Captured Media Previews
Save and sync your event to the Snappic app.
Once the image is captured, the final output will be displayed, and you can tap 'Retake Photo' to capture a new image.
Continue capturing or finalize your session if you are satisfied with the output.
Usage Tips and Advanced Tips
✅ Use this feature for high-quality group or portrait sessions.
✅ Combine with Excess Media Capture to take multiple versions before choosing the best one.
✅ For AI FX events, ensure all retakes are finalized before AI processing begins.
✅ Ideal for roaming photographers who want to perfect shots on the go.

Best Practices
✅ Do’s:
Always enable Show Captured Media Previews before the event.
Use this feature to fine-tune shots for clients or VIPs.
Double-check lighting before retaking a photo.
⚠️ Don’ts:
Avoid repeated retakes during high-volume events, as it can slow down the queue.
Do not approve a session until retakes are completed.
Avoid disabling previews mid-event since it will remove the retake option.
