Important Notes
Filters can be applied to Photos, GIFs, and Burst (not VideoFX).
If you can’t see the Filters tab, ensure it’s toggled on under Event Options.
You can use both preset and guest filters together for a layered look.
Test combinations before the event to ensure visuals appear as desired.
We recommend using Photo Glam instead of Beautify and K-dash for smoothing skin and whitening the teeth.
When using preset filters, we also recommend saving Unprocessed images as a backup.
If using Beautify or Beautify Plus, consider the desired intensity and ensure it aligns with your event's theme or audience preference. Avoid overlap by using Beautify only as a preset filter to prevent duplicate guest selections.
It is not possible to select filters prior to capture unless Contactless is used.
Access the Filters Section
From your Snappic event dashboard, you can select your event.
Then, navigate to the “Filters” section.
If this option doesn’t appear, go to Event Options and toggle “Filters” on to enable it.
Preset Filters
Preset Filters are filters that automatically apply to every image or GIF captured during your event — guests won’t need to make any selections.
To set one up:
Click the “Select” button under Preset Filters.
Choose a filter from the list.
Save your selection.
✨ Detailed Overview: The Beautify filter offers standard photo enhancements like smoothing skin textures and enhancing facial features. For a more dramatic effect, Snappic also provides the Beautify Plus filter, which increases the intensity of these adjustments for polished and professional-grade results.
Guest Filters
Guest Filters enable guests to select a filter during their photo booth session.
To enable guest filters:
Click “Add Filter” under Guest Filters.
Select several filter options (e.g., Sepia, Vivid, Noir).
Guests will then be able to scroll through and apply their preferred look before capturing their photo or GIF.
💡 Tip: Offering a few filter options makes the experience more interactive and fun.
Filter Layering Explained
Even when you allow guests to choose their own filter, Preset Filters will still apply underneath.
For example:
Preset Filter: Black & White
Guest Filter: Sepia
Result → The final image will have a Black & White + Sepia blend, creating a unique, artistic tone. Troubleshooting such interactions ahead of events ensures you can avoid surprises and achieve the desired artistic effects consistently. For instance, if you set a black-and-white filter like "KDash" as the preset, this will override colorful guest filters like Beautify, ensuring the black-and-white aesthetic is preserved. Additionally, when using Beautify as a preset, selecting Beautify again as a guest filter during the event won’t change photo appearance. Removing Beautify from guest options can resolve such redundancies for improved photo consistency.
Recommended Filters
Beautify: Ideal for portraits, smooths and brightens. (We recommend using Photo Glam instead)
Sepia: Adds a warm, nostalgic feel.
Black and White: Creates classic black-and-white images.
Beautify Plus: Ideal for creating a dramatic and polished look. Use this in scenarios where more intensive photo enhancements like skin smoothing and feature enhancement are needed.
