VideoFX Photobooth templates are designed primarily for static photobooth setups, but they can also be adapted for other event configurations. This guide outlines the use of recommended templates, including Confessional, Slow-mo Burst, and DSLR-friendly GIF formats.

Important Notes
All VideoFX outputs have a 30-second maximum recording limit.
Confessional templates come in two versions: Basic and Advanced.
Due to capture speed limitations, DSLR camera Shutter Speeds don't support regular bursts/boomerangs.
Confessional Templates
To use the Confessional template effectively, first decide whether you want to collect a single answer or multiple answers from each guest. There are two available template versions:
Basic
Settings Summary:
Minimum recording time: 5 seconds
Maximum recording time: 30 seconds
Guests can stop recording any time after 5 seconds
Step 1. Go to VideoFX Template Library > Advanced.
Step 2. Select the Confessional Basic template.
Step 3. Under the Master Settings tab:
Choose a resolution: Square (1280x1280), Landscape (1920x1080), or Portrait (1080x1920).
Upload an Overlay file (.png, .apng, or .mp4 under 20MB).
Optionally, upload a Soundtrack (.mp3 or .m4a under 5MB). (Note: If you have a soundtrack for the Confessional template, lower the volume so the guest recording can be heard).
Step 4. Navigate to the Recordings Tab,
Edit the Countdown Text to replace "Question 1".
Set the Countdown Interval (default is 3 seconds — ensure this is enough time to read the question).
Confirm Recording Duration is set (default 5 seconds, max 30 seconds).
Ensure Activate Confessional Video is checked.
Adjust Minimum and Maximum Recording Duration as needed.
Advanced - Multi Question
Settings Summary:
Up to 6 questions
5 seconds per question
Total video duration: 30 seconds
Step 1. Go to VideoFX Template Library > Advanced.
Step 2. Select the Confessional Advanced template.
Step 3. Under the Master Settings tab:
Choose a resolution: Square (1280x1280), Landscape (1920x1080), or Portrait (1080x1920).
Upload an Overlay file (.png, .apng, or .mp4 under 20MB).
Optionally, upload a Soundtrack (.mp3 or .m4a under 5MB). (Note: If you have a soundtrack for the Confessional template, lower the volume so the guest recording can be heard).
Step 4. Navigate to the Recordings Tab,
replace the Countdown Text for "Question 1" through "Question 6".
Set the Countdown Interval (default is 3 seconds — ensure enough time to read each question).
Do not edit the Recording Durations.
Ensure Activate Confessional Video is checked. (This is enabled by default)

Short-format templates optimized for quick photobooth interactions
Navigate to VideoFX Template Library > Photo Booth to access them
GIF and Burst (Boomerang)
Note: VideoFX is not supported on Pro events
DSLR cameras do not support standard burst modes due to shutter speed limitations. Due to these limitations, the Team has added templates in the Video FX library that can be used with Enterprise events instead of the GIF and Burst.
Use the Boomerang template found under the 360 tab as an alternative to GIF or burst formats
