Important Notes
Processing Time & Upload Requirements
AI-FX processing begins only after the images are fully uploaded.
Upload times may vary depending on the internet connection, event size, and network congestion.
Once uploaded, AI processing generally takes 2-5 minutes, but it can sometimes take longer based on server load.
There is no guaranteed processing time, but the average is around 4 minutes after completing the upload.
Optimal for Individuals
AI-FX is designed for individual portraits and currently does not support group photos.
The technology is fine-tuned for solo shots to ensure the highest-quality results. However, we are looking into introducing group AI-FX in the future.
AI-Generated Variability
AI-generated images can sometimes produce unexpected results, including changes in facial features, gender, or skin tone.
These variations are an inherent part of AI processing and cannot be directly controlled.
Face Swap Filter
Users must upload a clear photo with a human face for the face swap filter.
AI-FX will analyze the face and apply enhancements such as lighting adjustments and background transformations.
You can upload an image with multiple subjects and have multiple guests at the booth taking a face swap photo. The AI will place the guests from left to right onto the face swap image.
Sharing Options
AI-FX images can be shared via email and text from the photo booth. This will ensure guests receive the AI output once the rendering is done. Depending on which option they choose, the AI image will be sent to them directly via email or text.
Sharing via QR code or airdrop from the photo booth will result in only the original image being shared.
Sharing via a Share Station is also possible, as both the original and AI output will be sent to the sharing station.
Virtual Booth does not support AI-FX at this time.
Printing
You cannot print AI images directly from your Photo Booth.
You will need a Sharing Station to print AI-FX output.
Connect your printer to a sharing station. Once the AI image is sent to the Sharing Station, you can select the option to print it.
Background Customization
AI-FX does not support custom static or animated backgrounds.
Since AI-FX generates images, it can only approximate a background based on the AI prompt.
Background Removal is not compatible with AI-FX filters at this time.

AI-FX Filter Categories
AI-FX offers two main types of filters: AI-FX Library Filters and AI-FX Custom Filters.
AI-FX Library Filters
These are pre-built filters designed by Snappic, allowing operators to apply fun and engaging transformations to guest photos without needing customization.

Artistic Effects – Oil Painting, Pencil Sketch, Neon Glow
Event Themes – Wedding Elegance, Comic Book Style, Retro 80s
These filters are ready to use, making them perfect for quick setups and plug-and-play photo booth experiences.
AI-FX Custom Filters
For brands, businesses, and event planners looking for fully customized AI effects, AI-FX offers the ability to create unique, personalized filters. Custom filters allow for brand-aligned aesthetics and tailored experiences.
Types of AI-FX Custom Filters:
Custom Prompt – Input detailed text prompts to generate unique AI images.
Includes Custom Prompt 1.0 (original) and Custom Prompt 2.0 (offering Realistic & Stylized outputs).
Best for: Branded activations, fantasy themes, and artistic creations.
Style Transfer – Upload a reference image, and AI will apply its style to guest photos.
Best for: Corporate branding, themed events, and immersive activations.
Face Swap – Swap guest faces onto pre-uploaded images while keeping the original background, silhouette, and clothing.
Best for: Uniform character transformations and group AI photos.
These Custom Filters provide event hosts with full creative control over how their AI-enhanced photos look, making them an excellent option for marketing campaigns, activations, and brand storytelling.
How To Enable AI Experience (AI-FX)
Under the Features section of your event, enable AI Experience.
Once you enable the AI feature, it will guide you to the "AI Template" section, where you can set up your AI Experience.
Click on the Add AI Filter option.
Choose from our library of pre-made filters or a custom filter to create your own. Click on the filters you want to add to your template. You can choose as many as you want. Then click Close.
Click Edit on any filter to change the Filter Name, Preview Image and Filter Options.
You can also test the filter by clicking Test. You can upload your own image here and see the AI output.
Now, you can attach filters to your templates. You can add a template from the Template Library or create your own.
Select AI Filters under your template, and select the filters you would like to add to that template. You can add one or several different templates.
To change the Preview Image of the template (the image that will show up on the app for your guests to see), click Preview under the template.
Upload your own Preview Image (💡Tip: Use your test image as your preview image!)
Once you are done, you can click on Save.
How Does AI-FX Work?
AI-FX applies AI-powered image generation techniques to modify guest photos taken at a Snappic-powered photo booth. Here’s how it works:
Guest Takes a Photo at the Booth – The guest captures an image using the photo booth.
Photo is Sent for AI Processing – The image is not rendered instantly at the booth but instead uploaded to Snappic’s cloud servers, where the AI generates the effect.
Guest Receives the AI-Generated Image – The final AI-enhanced image is delivered via the sharing method selected by the guest (email or text message).
AI-FX Image is Available at the Share Station (if set up) – The AI-generated image will also be available on the Share Station, allowing guests to view, share and print their creations further.
This seamless cloud-based process ensures that guests receive high-quality AI-enhanced images without slowing down the photo booth experience.
Where to find the AI-FX Experience on the app
When your event is set up, you can start your photo booth. You will notice that AI-FX has no "experience button." You will find the AI effects under the 'Still' section.
You will have the option to select between the general still photo frame or an AI photo frame.
You will notice a small AI text box in the top corner of the template. This indicates the difference between the AI Photo Frame and the Still Photo frame.
AI-FX Credits & Pricing
AI-FX requires AI credits to generate images. Each AI effect uses credits as follows:
1 AI credit per AI-generated image sent to a guest.
0.25 AI credits per test image (for previewing effects on the backend before use).
These credits must be purchased in advance through the Snappic platform, allowing operators to manage their AI usage based on event needs.
How to purchase AI-FX Credits
To Purchase/Top Up AI-FX credits, we will go to the Account tab and select Top Up.
Then, we can select the credit amount required and press Next on the bottom right.
