Important Notes

  • 🧠 Animated backgrounds only work with still photos when Online AI BG Removal is enabled.

  • 💳 You’ll need BG Removal Credits to use Online AI BG Removal.

  • 🎮 Your template must include Animated Overlays for this effect to work properly.

Setting Up Your Photo Booth Template

Step 1: Open the Template Editor

Navigate to the Photo Templates section in your Snappic dashboard and click Edit on your desired template.

Step 2: Choose or Create Your Template

Select from the Template Library or click Create New Template to design your own.

Step 3: Upload and Save Your Overlay

If you’ve created a custom template, upload your overlay image and click Save.

After saving, select Animated Overlays from the template options.

Step 4: Set Up Animated Overlays

Add different frames to create motion or use a single overlay across all frames for a subtle effect.

This ensures your animated background has time to animate smoothly behind the subject.

💡 Tip: For advanced layering and animation setup, check out Setting Up Animated Overlays.

Setting Up Green Screen

Step 1: Enable Green Screen

Ensure the Green Screen feature is toggled on under your event’s Features section.

If you haven’t enabled it yet, follow the guide on Setting Up the Green Screen.

Step 2: Select Online BG Removal

Once in the Green Screen Settings page, locate BG Removal Type and choose Online BG.

Step 3: Upload Your Animated Background

Upload your Animated Background file in .mp4 format.

Keep it under 20MB for smooth playback.

Step 4: Save and Test

Once uploaded, click Save and perform a quick test from your photo booth.

Capture a still photo and watch your background come to life!
