Snappic has several different background removal types for Photos, GIFs, and Bursts, which can be selected from the Green Screen menu in your event dashboard. This article will summarize the pros and cons of each type.

Chroma Key

  • It is available for Photo, GIF, Burst, and VideoFX

  • It requires a physical backdrop of a single, solid colour. (Like a traditional Greenscreen)

  • It can produce excellent results if set up correctly.

  • It can be challenging to set up correctly.

  • Does not require internet or credits.

  • Shows the background removal in the live preview.

Offline AI

  • It works with any background, so there is no need for a physical backdrop with a single, solid colour.

  • This method generally has lower-quality background removal than Online AI or Chroma Key.

  • Does not require internet or credits.

  • Shows the background removal in the live preview.

Online AI

  • It works with any background, so there is no need for a physical backdrop with a single, solid colour.

  • This method generally has excellent results with minimal configuration.

  • Requires a live internet connection and uses credits.

  • Background removal is not visible in the live preview.

AI Segmentation (VideoFX)
