To ensure your event runs smoothly and prevent guests from accidentally (or intentionally) closing the Snappic app, you can enable two powerful tools — the Admin Passcode and Guided Access. These settings help you maintain full control of your iPad during events.

  • Setting an Admin Passcode

  • Using Guided Access (iOS Feature)

Important Notes

  • The Admin Passcode protects Snappic’s internal settings.

  • Guided Access locks the iPad to the Snappic app itself.

  • Using both together provides the best protection during public or high-traffic events.

  • Always remember your passcodes — forgetting them may require restarting or resetting your iPad.

Setting an Admin Passcode

The Admin Passcode ensures that guests cannot exit or make changes to your event without permission.

How to Set It Up:

  1. Log in to your Snappic Dashboard.

  2. Select your event and go to the Event Options section.

  3. Locate the Admin Passcode field.

  4. Enter your chosen passcode and Save Changes.

Once set, this passcode will be required to exit or modify the event on the iPad — preventing guests from closing the Snappic app or accessing admin settings.

Using Guided Access (iOS Feature)

In addition to the Admin Passcode, you can use Guided Access, a built-in iOS feature that locks the iPad into a single app. This ensures that guests cannot switch apps or exit Snappic, even accidentally.

How to Enable Guided Access:

  1. On your iPad, go to Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access.

  2. Toggle Guided Access ON.

  3. Set a Passcode for Guided Access (different from your Snappic Admin Passcode).

  4. To start Guided Access during your event, triple-click the Home button (or top button on newer iPads) once Snappic is open.

  5. To exit Guided Access, triple-click again and enter your Guided Access passcode.
