When using a GoPro camera with Snappic, we strongly recommend using a wired connection to keep your device connected to the Internet during events. Wireless connections can limit access to downloads, uploads, and sharing features.

Important Notes
Best practice: Always use a wired GoPro connection for stable operation.
Wireless GoPro mode disconnects your iPad/iPhone from the Internet.
Without Internet access, Snappic cannot:
Download event resources
Upload captured sessions
Sync or share event data
Mobile data can provide Internet access only if your iOS device supports it. (Data SIM required)
Recommended Setup
For the best performance, connect your GoPro to your iPad or iPhone using a wired connection.
This setup allows your device’s Wi-Fi to remain connected to an Internet source.
It ensures uninterrupted uploading, sharing, and syncing of sessions during your event.
Using a GoPro Wirelessly
When connecting a GoPro via Wi-Fi, your device temporarily connects to the GoPro’s wireless network.
The GoPro Wi-Fi does not provide Internet access.
As a result, your device cannot reach the Internet while paired wirelessly.
The Snappic app will not be able to:
Download event data
Upload captured sessions
Access online sharing tools
Wireless setup should only be used when a wired option is unavailable.
Using a GoPro with Mobile Data
If your iPad or iPhone supports cellular data, Snappic can use that connection while the GoPro is connected wirelessly.
Mobile data automatically provides Internet access alongside the GoPro Wi-Fi link.
Ensure your mobile data is enabled before starting the event.
⚠️ Not all Apple devices include mobile data capability. Wi-Fi–only iPads cannot use this option.
When a Wired Connection Is Required
If your device does not have mobile data support:
You must use a wired connection between Snappic and the GoPro.
This allows your device’s Wi-Fi to remain free for Internet access.
This is the only way to maintain a live Internet connection on Wi-Fi–only devices.
