We highly recommend using a GoPro with a wired connection. This frees up the Wi-Fi on your device to connect to any network for Internet access. You should only use a wireless connection when absolutely necessary.

When using a GoPro camera with a wireless connection, your iOS device connects to the GoPro's Wi-Fi connection. The GoPro does not have a connection to the Internet, so this means that your iOS device also won't have an Internet connection, so the app won't be able to download any event resources, or upload any captured sessions or share data.

In order to connect the device running the app to the Internet when connected to a GoPro wirelessly, you will need to use a mobile data connection. Note that not all Apple devices support mobile data connections. If your device does not support cellular connections, unfortunately you will require a wired connection to the GoPro if you need Internet access.
