Important Notes

  • LiveView is not supported by GoPro.

  • Supported models: GoPro Hero 9, 10, 11, and 12.

  • Hero 13 is not officially supported (but some users have reported success using it. Please note this is not guaranteed or supported by Snappic Support).

  • GoPro 9 only supports wireless connection; later models support wired and wireless.

  • Snappic app must be version 1.27.0 or later on iOS 13+.

Recommended Camera Settings

  • Set Resolution: 1080p

  • Set FPS: 240fps (important for smooth Slow Mo).

  • Apply settings on the Snappic app for both Video and Slow Motion modes to avoid dropped frames.

Prepare Your GoPro

  1. Reset the GoPro to factory settings (recommended for first-time setup).

  2. Download and install the GoPro Quik App on the device you will be using with Snappic.

  3. Pair your GoPro with the Quik App, give it a custom name, and test Enable Preview (this ensures Wi-Fi connectivity).

  4. Leave the GoPro on the Quik App connection screen before switching to Snappic.

Wired vs Wireless Connection

  • Wired (recommended):

    • More stable, faster transfer speeds, freeing Wi-Fi for Internet access.

    • Requires a supported adapter depending on iOS device (Lightning to USB adapter or USB-C to USB-C cable).

    • Note: You cannot charge the GoPro during wired use, so bring spare batteries.

  • Wireless:

    • Only option for Hero 9.

    • Device connects directly to GoPro’s Wi-Fi (no Internet while connected unless using mobile data).

Connecting in the Snappic App

  1. Open Snappic.

  2. Go to your event → tap Configure CameraSearch for GoPro Camera.

  3. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled.

  4. Select your GoPro from the list (look for the Wired or Wireless symbol).

  5. Accept the prompts to join the GoPro network (wireless only).

  6. Your GoPro should now be connected.

Troubleshooting

  • Make sure the GoPro Quik App is closed on your device before connecting with Snappic.

  • Check that your GoPro firmware is up-to-date.

  • Ensure Bluetooth and Local Network permissions are enabled for Snappic (Settings > Snappic).

  • If using wired: confirm your cable supports data transfer, not just charging.

  • If connection issues persist: restart both the iOS device and the GoPro, or reset network settings.
