Important Notes
Anonymising guest data removes personal identifiers like email addresses and phone numbers from your event records.
Once anonymised, this action cannot be undone — the data is permanently cleared.
Event performance statistics (e.g., number of shares sent, delivered, or undelivered) remain visible even after anonymisation.
How to Automatically Anonymise Guest Data
Go to your Snappic Dashboard.
Select your event and open the Event Options section.
Scroll to the Privacy section.
Tick the box labeled Automatically Clear Guest Data.
✅ Once enabled, all new guest share data (emails, phone numbers, etc.) will automatically be anonymised after their photo or video is shared.
💡 Note: You will still see analytics totals, but not identifiable guest data. For example, it will display “Anonymous” in place of actual contact details.
How to Manually Clear Guest Data After an Event
If you prefer to anonymise data after your event has ended, follow these steps:
Open your event dashboard.
Click the Actions button in the top right corner.
Select Clear Guest Data.
Confirm your selection.
All collected guest share data will now be anonymised, removing all personally identifiable information from your event records and downloaded files.
⚠️ Warning: This process is irreversible. Once data has been cleared, it cannot be recovered.
What Happens After Data Is Anonymised
The Analytics page will still display metrics such as:
Total shares sent
Delivered and undelivered counts
However, specific email addresses, phone numbers, or survey data will no longer be viewable or downloadable.
Exported CSV files will display anonymised fields instead of guest information.
