White-label Facebook app

Setting up a Facebook App ID is really easy if you follow the steps below.

Please note that you do not need to do this if you are using the (generic link) domain for white label.

Step 1.

  • Click the login option at the top right corner. Once you are logged in via Facebook, you will see the My Apps button at the top right corner, which you will need to select.

Step 2.

  • Next, click on the green button that says "Create App".

  • The below screen will pop up whereby you need to select the option titled 'Other.'

  • Now select the 'Consumer' option and then click continue:

  • Now, you can fill in a few details as shown below, then click on the 'create app' button.

Step 3.

  • Click on the "App Settings" on the left panel and then select "Basic".

Step 4.

  • Now scroll down, then select "+ Add Platform"  

  • Next, choose the "Website" option.

Step 5.

  • Now enter the domain you used for the Snappic gallery in the white-label settings in the "Site URL" section and click save changes.

Step 6.

  • Now, enter the domain you used for the Snappic gallery in the white-label settings in the "App Domains" section and click Save Changes.

  • You may also need to fill in the Privacy Policy URL, Terms of Service URL, and User data deletion URL (you can use your website URL for all 3 options).

  • Next, you can select a category (You can use the Entertainment option)

Step 7.

Now click the toggle button next to "App Mode' it will toggle from 'Development' to 'Live.'

Step 8.

  • Lastly, Copy Your App ID and paste it in under the White-label settings on the Snappic portal where it asks for the Facebook App ID.
