Snappic’s Template Editor is built to enhance creativity while maintaining ease of use. With these updates, you gain more control, flexibility, and efficiency in designing templates that make your events unique and engaging.
Important Notes
The editor supports Photos, AI Filters, GIFs, and Burst.
VideoFX is not supported at this time.
When adding Survey Frames, add them one at a time. This prevents duplicate survey boxes from appearing in the same survey text area.
To change the Background colour Layer in preset templates, Select the Overlay under the Layers tab, then under the Properties tab, update the image colour (Change the overlay colour).

Exploring the Template Editor
Top Toolbar
The Top Toolbar remains familiar but offers refined functionality. You will find essential options such as:
Save Processed/Unprocessed Images: Choose how to save your images after editing. Learn more in our detailed guide.
Show Overlay Preview: See how overlays appear on your images. For best practices, check out our comprehensive article.
Do Not Mirror Live View: Adjust your live view settings for better customisation. Read our exclusive article for more information.
Interval Countdown: It is now positioned on the right side of the toolbar for easier access. For a full guide on setting countdowns, click here.
Layers and Design Elements (Content)
The Left Panel is your control centre for all design elements. It helps you manage layers and add creative assets effectively:
Adding and Managing Layers: Every new element, including an image, text box, or sticker, automatically becomes a layer. The Layers section allows you to reorder, edit, or delete layers.
Stickers: Access a diverse sticker library with categories like Birthdays, Christmas, General, Mother’s Day, Signs, and more.
Survey Fields: Enhance engagement by adding custom text fields (ideal for trading cards and interactive elements). Learn more in our comprehensive article.
Editing Layers: In the Properties tab, adjust layers to change size, orientation, colour, and other attributes for a perfect fit.
Design Canvas
The Center Panel is where you bring your template to life:
Add Images and Text Boxes: Easily drag and drop images and text onto your design.
Undo/Redo Changes: A new feature allowing you to quickly correct mistakes or revisit previous edits.
Text Editor Toolbox: When a text layer is selected, a toolbox appears at the bottom, allowing you to edit font, colour, size, and more.
Properties Section (Properties)
Selecting any item in your design opens the Properties Section, where you can fine-tune your elements:
Arrange: Adjust layer order and apply blend modes.
Frame: Manually edit the size and position and apply transformations like rotation, mirroring, and flipping (note: this affects design elements only, not guest frames).
Image: Adjust the overlay/background colour when working with pre-made templates.
